There sure was a lot of focus on guns in this movie, which is ironic

because Illinois (and Chicago specifically) have some of the most stringent gun laws in the country. Maybe Mr. Lee is unaware of that. Maybe Mr. Lee is also unaware of the fact that guns are an inanimate tool with no ability on their own to cause any damage. I guess there are a great many things that Mr. Lee is unaware of, but that is not going to stop him from pontificating on them.

You're actually the one who is unaware of the whole movie. The movie doesn't focus all its time and energy on guns. The movie focuses on gang culture, with guns being the number 1 tool of murder. And Chicago had 468 homicides in the year 2015. You better believe an enormous majority of them were due to guns, so it doesn't matter how strict a city's gun laws are, people are going to find a way to get their hands on them. What this movie was saying is to stop the gang culture. Stop the senseless killing. Give up your main tools of taking other peoples' lives. The movie made it very clear that guns are inanimate objects with no ability on their own to cause damage. The preacher even said that in one of his monologues. But you must not have been paying that much attention.

So much stupid in one post.
Open your eyes, turn off faux news, & go read a book or something.

Doubt it since that preacher dude mentioned that the guns got past their strict gun laws
