Promising

I tend to find a lot of drama's on BBC and ITV can be badly written and a bit disappointing. Looking at the cast of Capital with some of our best acting talent I gave it a go, I was pleasantly suprised and after the first episode look forward to the remaining 2, it is well shot and well acted, humorous with a good soundtrack. In some ways it reminded me of RUN the excellent four parter shown on Channel 4 in 2013, apart from RUN and Of Any Human Heart (another Channel 4 drama) its hard to find good drama on TV

There is good drama about in amongst all the Scandidrama wannabes.

This one does look promising and the first episode was worth it just to see Toby Jones face when he did not get that big bonus.

My main concern is that we are following the Australian route seemingly of having such few actors.

The Asian actor was River's partner last week, the old woman was in Unforgettable a fortnight ago, Toby Jones's wife here is also Toby Jones's best mate's wife in The Detectorists which is on BBC4 at the moment!

It's that man again!!

Agreed. The casting system in this country is depressingly predictable for the most part.

However, familiarity doesn't necessarily have to breed contempt. These actors are re-used for a good reason. And it was nice to see some actors from way back among the cast of Unforgotten (Hannah Gordon, Peter Egan, etc.).

Sounds like you're speaking as an actor rather than a viewer.

I'm of a different mind. I love seeing the same actors in so many different productions. All of the main ones play so many totally different roles that you get to witness just how great they are at what they do. I especially love anything with any of the following actors in it:
Sarah Lancashire, Nicola Walker, Charlie Murphy, Maxine Peake, John Simm, Robson Green, Douglas Henshall, Peter Capaldi, Andrew Buchan, etc.. etc. It's really difficult to stop!

I find British actors so far superior to typical American TV actors who usually play only the same parts over and over and over...

Episode one was promising but went downhill fast. Utterly pointless meaningless tv.
