.....that this series is being aired on PIVOT in the US, a channel without an OnDemand option. I don't have a DVR, I've been unable to record it.

PIVOT seems an odd choice to air a UK series, the channel mostly broadcasts repeats of US TV shows from the 1980s and 90s and nature shows! .

I missed most of the first episode, I was glad there was a brief synopsis at the beginning of the second episode.

It's also unfortunate that "Capital" is only a four episode series. I would have enjoyed knowing more about the characters backstories.

You might want to complain to your TV provider. All four episodes are available on Comcast OnDemand, so clearly Pivot has on-demand agreements with some providers.

You also might want to find an online TV listings site you like, or ask your provider to improve theirs, since apparently you weren't able to find the listings for the repeats of the entire series this weekend.
