What state does this show take place?

I will not accept Maine as a correct answer because they occasionally make fire ant jokes and there are no fire ants in Maine.

Now the promo for the 6th season of Bunk'd shows a map of the USA with a line from Maine to the midwest where Lou's new camp is located. (Unfortuantely the map seems to show Capmp Kikiwaka in the center of Maine, and not near the Canadian border nor near the seacoast as someepisodes indicate.)

Moose Rump is stated to be in Maine in several episodes.

In "The Great Escape" (May 24, 2017), Ravi, Tiffany, and Jorge accidentially cross the US-Canada border, within walking distance of Camp Kikiwaka.

If fire ants are not found in Maine, are they found in New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, or Alaska, the only other states where you could walk across the Canadian border?

If the answer is no, perhaps a colony of fire ants hitchiked on a vehicle and ended up in Maine, and survived for a few seasons before being killed off by the cold winters.

In real life animals sometimes are found far from their recognzied habitats. And in an episode of Bunk'd an eagle was identified as a member of a species which is not found in Maine or in the Americas. See

If the ants were not called fire ants by Ravi or Tiffany, they probably were some other type of ants misidentified by someone less well informed.

Bunk'd is part of the DCLAU, the Disney Channel Life Action Universe, which is an alternate universe with a different history than ours, and where superheroes and wizards exist. Thus it is perfectly possible for an ant species in Maine to have the name of "fire ants".

The DCLAU, like the Nickverse, is noted for having different zoological "facts" than our universe. There are examples in https://moviechat.org/tt4591680/Bunkd/58c86b9db591530ffd78c75f/A-Tawny-Eagle

And don't foret that in Bunk'd itself, the fourth season camper Gwen sometimes said she was (partially) raised by wolvees) - in one episode she mentions the wolf pack which helped her survive the winter of 2017. Which of course is rather scientifically dubious in our universe.
