I'm pretty sure if African-Americans "got everything they want" (as you so eloquently put it), not getting shot walking out of their doors, not getting pulled over for "driving while black", not getting beat up by the cops on a regular basis, not being treated like second class citizens, not being exposed to disgusting acts of hatred and racism... (the list goes on and on) would be much higher on the list than black sitcoms. However, that doesn't mean diversity isn't welcome and needed in television today.

Please there are PLENTY of black people who have made it: Jessie WIlliams, shonda Rhimes, Oprah, Sydney Portier, Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby, Chris Rock,etc. I could go on but it would take all day. I don't know what you're whining about. You have a WHOLE CHANNEL of mostly black shows. BET is designed to ONLY have mostly black people on it. They will only accept shows if it is mostly black. All other channels will accept any show if they believe it will do good in ratings, whether the cast is mostly black, white, Mexican, or Asian. Your kind is more lucky since you have a whole channel dedicated to ONLY hire black people; No channel out there hires ONLY whites or ONLY Asians, etc...
