lego.. unethical
anyone catch the episode where all the kids are playing seemingly randomly with legos... then it turns out lego is one of the sponsors of the show?
I thought that kind of trickery was made illegal.

And is it me or was there a brand new looking set of steps on the outside of the building in place of the old ones??
shareThat aside I still think it's the best show on HGTV!
shareThey probably put the commercial in because they were doing the Lego wall for the oldest kid later in the show - and figured, why not have the Gaines kids play with Legos too since they already had approval.

not trickery or illegal
I am sure the Gains parents thought this is a good family friendly toy we will endorse and take the money for doing so.

the NRA - supporting gun rights for terrorists. Why does the NRA hate America?
No wonder I find the show unwatchable. It's unethical to support slave-labor produced crap from Asia.
Put puppy mills out of business: never buy dogs from pet shops!
Sorry I'm late to the party, but I just saw the episode today. I really didn't have a problem with the product placement. What bothered me was the part where Jo decided that her children's artwork wasn't good enough and she had to re-do it.
shareProduct placement is not illegal or unethical.
