At least it's nice to see some smart contestants for a change

Unlike on Millionaire where the ignorance of most of the contestants is just embarrassing. (I believe that they deliberately weed out most of the smarter people who apply).

But otherwise the show is badly designed. For one thing, the first contestant has a considerable advantage over the challenger. The host is abrasive to say the least. The questions are often very easy---even I who knows little of opera, for instance, could answer most of the opera questions. Or they are misleading by category. (A question under "Australia" was what Australian founded Wikileaks---and even the contestant said he didn't know Assange was Australian, but got the question right.

I think Alex Trebek doesn't have to worry about this show. It will be gone for good very soon.

I, too, think that Millionaire does this. A friend of mine was taking the written test at a Millionaire in-person audition. My friend was told that he did not pass. A guy sitting next to him, was told the same thing. The guy then whipped out his cell phone, called home, and said, "I can't believe I didn't pass. I got every question right." The guy seemed sure, according to my friend.

So, it is highly possible that Millionaire has a maximum limit on how many questions you can get right on a test.
