They killed off [Spoiler]?!? Really?

There's a lot to like in this movie, and Stu Bennett is a surprisingly good in his villain role. ...but there's one choice they made that absolutely ruined the movie for me.

I get that pretty much everyone not Scott Adkins or his daughter has to die, but the killing off of the kind blonde social worker? What the hell? Knocking her out would have been more than sufficient and she was already unconscious. It feels like she was in so much of the movie and they established her as basically this total good-hearted innocent. In place of the crappy sudden ending that cuts to black almost immediately after the main baddie dies, I wish they had left her alive and set her up to meet Scott right at the end. Instead, at the end of the film, there's just sort of a feeling of... nothing. What a pointless waste...

You ever See the Steven Seagal movie exit wounds? Something like that happens.
A few 90s DTC flicks have done that too
Am not totally shocked

Ask the guards, they'll deny it. Ask the inmates here—they'll cut their tongues out before they talk

They had to make sure you DIDN'T sympathize with Cooper in the scene after that. It seemed like a focus group alteration since Hannah shot her offscreen. The audience probably felt sorry for Cooper, so they needed to be reminded that, no, he's a piece of crap.
