Watching The Making of Was Very Revealing

I almost get the feeling that Bob controlled everything and his humor is so dry that it really didn't hit nearly as hard as the original Mr. Show. There are moments, but it was so restrained compared to where they used to go. Theres a moment where they are sitting at the table discussing ideas and David gets up and just stares at the idea board...its like a desperate search for something amazing. It wasn't bad, better than 99% of other sketch comedy, but nothing really was a home run. i just think Bob's humor while grounded and apolitical...mixed with a far more mellow less drugged out DC just produced a semi-neutered version or the Mr. Show.
