vs. Mr. Show

Everyone seems to be dismissing this show as a sort of Mr. Show Lite. Even Bob and David themselves were half-apologizing for it, calling it a "less complex" version of Mr Show. But I actually prefer this show (very slightly)! I think the gags are more consistently funny -- and the best ones (e.g., the "c-word sketch") are better than even the best Mr Show sketches. Anyone else agree?

I haven't seen it yet (because I refuse to get a Netflix subscription) but I'm assuming that it's a "Mr. Show" reunion in all but name, since the name is probably contractually tied up with HBO. With that in mind, comparing it to the original "Mr. Show" would be like comparing your twenty-year high school reunion with high school.

In a nutshell: It works for me, in every bit as much the same way as the original.

Can't see how folks can diss it, particularly if they liked the orig.

It's a bit unfair to try and compare it with Mr. Show since there are only a few episodes in the can. Just as soon as it starts finding its footing, it's already over. Hoping they start working on the next season soon.
