Why did Eleven think she's the monster?

Maybe Eleven feels that she is Evil, and that everything happening around her is because she possesses these powers, but more importantly when she becomes frightened or angry, she can't always control them.

Any Thoughts?

I think it's basically a combination of what you've said above. She feels responsible for opening up the horrors of the Upside Down, and her powers cause great misery to others. Essentially viewing herself as a freak of nature (or, in this case, of scientific experimentation).

Agreed. She wasn't saying that she literally is the monster. She feels like everything that's happening is her fault, because she opened the gateway and unleashed the Upside Down and its dangers on this world.

I believe Eleven feels that she is evil because she loses control of her emotions. Fear is always present when her reactions are most violent. As her story moves forward, learning to control this fear, I believe, will remain her biggest enemy.

Look up the "Eleven is the Demogorgon" theory on YouTube.

That theory came about before Season 2. I think Season 2 kinda erases that theory. Idk though I gues still could be possible? Haven't watched S2 in a little bit.
