This season did the Spielberg king carpenter kids and monsters thing, so maybe next season will be about ultra violent 80s movie buddy cops.

Since season 2 will be set in 1984, I assume Eleven will return in some kind of Terminator homage.

1984 was a banner year: Ghostbusters, Gremlins, Terminator, Firestarter, Last Starfighter, Starman, Temple of Doom, Neverending Story, on and on.

I think TRON because I know that arcades & video stores are supposed to play a part in this season. Terminator was a good suggestion too.

And I don't think its a rip- I think its supposed to be a nod.
