How do I reach someone from Netflix?

I've made a two hour version of the show and I want to upload it somewhere without running into the obvious copyright infringements.
Thanks.

What do you mean, you "made a two hour version"? Did you edit the episodes together in pairs so there's only four double length episodes, or do you work for the producers and have access to deleted footage so you decided to create your own extended cut?

Either way, posting their content for other people to download is a copyright violation and no one at Netflix is going to give you permission to do it. Not that you're likely to get caught. Unless of course you really do work for the production and only a limited number of people have your level of access. Then they'll probably figure out who you are, and sue the shıt out of you.

No, I mean that I edited the 6.5 hours show into 2.
8 episodes, just not in entirety, only the best bits.
I'm not from the production company or anything.

Well that's interesting. It's hard to see how someone who hasn't watched the full series already could get everything important in just two hours, but I'm intrigued. If you want to post it just do so. Netflix certainly won't grant you permission but they have no way of hunting you down either. The worst thing that could happen is that your links might stop working eventually.

Back in college, I edited The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi into one film to eliminate most of the Jabba Palace and Ewoks scenes, but I did not post it anywhere.

If you do it for your own enjoyment, no problem, but posting it is.

Netflix wouldn't be thrilled, but it's not like they can do much except file a DMCA takedown notice with the filehost. I don't know how quickly that would happen. Some studios are much faster than others.

I assume you tried posting links here kobe_q and that's why we have This message has been deleted by an administrator. Perhaps a more indirect approach, posting links elsewhere and then linking to that page instead of putting the links themselves right here.

I doubt they allow you to post it anywhere for legal reasons. But if you want to give it a try send them a letter/fax to their headquarters:

Not way in hell you're going to get permission. The only thing content producers hate more than people posting official releases of their material is people posting unauthorized versions. They end up floating around out there forever, and at least a few people will download them thinking your edition is the real thing. No. Definitely not liking those armchair Director's Cuts!
