The most difficult part of this movie for me was trying to figure out why this young women would be attracted to Will Ferrell's character. Sure, I know money can be attractive, but for crying out loud - it's Will Ferrell here, not Joe Manganiello! I would have had to have been as drunk as he was to sleep with Will's character!

Jason Alexander and Kevin James are even less attractive than Will Ferrell, yet they are known for playing characters who attract beautiful women.
There is also a film called Young Adult where Charlize Theron has sex with Patton Oswalt and Will Ferrell is definitely not as ugly as Patton Oswalt. So it is not completely unbelievable that a woman who looks like Jessica Lowndes would be physically attracted to Will Ferrell.
I'm not saying that Will Ferell could not be found attractive. But depressed, creppy looking Robert Benson. Not so much.
