I watched. the trailer and thought to myself "yes, finally another serious movie role for Will Ferrell. The movie looks like a pretty decent thriller. Then I saw that it is listed as a comedy on IMDb. Anyone knows if this is true? Replies such as "you dumb freak, the trailer was *beep* funny" will be reported and risks a lifetime ban from IMDb.

Wills character will likely crack a few jokes here and there as I'd expect but I'm sure the main focus will be the serious drama/thriller moments so there shouldn't be anything to worry about.
Also the threats weren't necessary because you can just as simply place any troll on your ignore list and be done with it.

LouisGur; I'm of the opinion, after watching the trailer, they are playing their roles straight like the actors did in the comedy classic "Airplane". I think both Ferrell and Wiig hope we get the jokes and will laugh at the silliness of some of these types of movies. Just my opinion.

Andrew Steele wrote it. It is 100% a comedy. It's a lifetime original movie that makes fun of lifetime original movies. Will be intentionally over-exaggerated with its drama. So yes it will be a comedy, but not a Anchorman type comedy. Check out the Spoils of Babylon. Its a filmmaker's film. It will be corny on purpose. Its all in fun.
