Lesbian cop on the roof

Was that supposed to be comic relief or what?
Dreadful.

reply

I think it was a civvy.

Yeah the movie was moving though for the comedic moments, I did laugh but also found it kinda of feeling close to poor timing, even if it happened in real life.

I was surprised by the cops having off moments: shooting at the wrong truck and the boat with a suspect who "might have a bomb" as they even said before shooting. I didn't know that happened.

Ok. I had a feeling Wahlberg's character was fictional and just found out he is. I thought so, because he had a lot of story like he was special or something. A few Whatever scenes: Why did they have him try and remember the locations on the street instead of looking at a map?...So the cops shooting at the wrong truck, didn't really happen? If that moment is complete fiction, that's dumb.

reply

He wasn't there to remember the streets, that area was supposedly his beat. He was remembering where the security cameras were and which way they were pointed.

As to shooting at the wrong truck? No idea if it really happened, but it was dark, I'm sure the officers' nerves were on edge, and there would certainly have been a lot of confusion, so to me that scene was plausible.

reply

The cops absolutely did shoot at a police vehicle, there was a mistaken alert that one of them had commandeered a police vehicle which turned out to be wrong.

In the movie, it's quickly fixed with some yelling. In real life, one cop was shot by friendly fire and had to be rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He survived.

War is hell, and chaotic. Things don't typically make sense and you have to make split second decisions to save lives.

reply

Yeah that's true

reply

I thought it was a guy, I even expected him to say I'm not a ma'am. I'm a guy.

reply

Oh actually I think it's okay, knowing the cop is ok, that it was portrayed as it happened rather, than they only made it up to be funny.

Because she represented the general attitude of everybody in the eastern portion of the state at the time. It's the reason why I went to the casting call, which was so popular they ran out of applications by 11 AM with a line that was still a quarter-mile long.

Your replies will be graded and possibly used as material in future projects.
