shareI have yet to see this but wondered what sort of comments might make me decide. Hard to tell from what has been read.
We have just been treated to the finalisation of a sorry story about under cover cops and association with protest groups. Cops are people and only human [I SUPPOSE]. I caught a bit of an interview with [ I must assume an ex] a cop who actually fathered a child. He sounded quite remorseful about something but all that has happened is that someone he was meant to be investigating??? got more than a quick peep and now has a small fortune. Crime might well pay if it is in fact the police who are paying the suspects. I did hear that they do not like cops in relationships [I suppose that means married] to work deep undercover.
My point is about the OPs post. To carry on with another while married is living a LIE a BIG FAT LIE and this deception is continuous throughout each day of course to the wife family and perhaps working colleagues and if this is true to the lazy writing form will be either a colleagues wife, girlfriend or a married colleague who also will have to lie lie lie all day long. So undercover work a big lie and yet this lie has the GO AHEAD. No wonder the legal teams will cry ENTRAPMENT as if that really can ever be classed as a get out of jail free card. I suppose it could be claimed that shops should keep all goods out of sight.
From experience I know that many legal eagles have started to get hold of the internal records of those involved in law enforcement as part of the overall strategy to destroy credibility. I cannot be sure but perhaps one in Northern Ireland may have been allowed to be executed for using this sort of tactic. You know terrorist is shot while carrying out an action and the defence will be, he is innocent you did not read him his rights, or I see you claimed for travel allowance for a day you did not go to work. Liar credibility gone. Killer released.
Police should really be almost PURE. Due to the imperfections probably in all forces we see them as actually facilitating various levels of crime. Not always about money though over here it was loyalty to some particular NASTY cause and an underlying hatred for what is different.
So if a copper can cheat lie and basically be a scum bag in this so called respectable profession of course he can be exposed on a witness stand in court by an also full of, I know you are a *beep* constable for I as a Barrister did not get here by being truthful.
Bit harsh perhaps to call a PIG a bit of a PIG.
As for the wife finding out, it seems she knows--if not about the current girlfriend, but about his tendencies to wander.
She said as much to Jake when she told Jake to stop worrying about their marriage and trying to be a mediator.

Perhaps his wife accepts that she cant fulfil the physical side of the relationship and accepts his philandering but we don't know for sure.
