Homosexual bias?

OK, I have watched just the first two episodes and I enjoyed them both.
However, of the 4 main "beat" cops, 2 of them are apparently gay, a very high proportion when compared to population averages. Furthermore, at the end of episode 2 it is only the two homosexual relationships that appear to be the happiest with supportive partners. All of the heterosexual relationships have major problems with perhaps the only exception being the detective and his wife who are trying to conceive.
I am not homophobic, in fact a close relative is gay and in a happy and accepted loving relationship.
I don't know whether "Cuffs" is trying to make a point of promoting gay relationships or whether this is just coincidence but certainly, on a statistical basis, and at this early stage of the series, the numbers are skewed.

You are homophobic, would you make the same comments if the sexualities of the relationships were reversed? Why does the number of gay characters have to be evenly spread across the population? It's not that way in real life.
