I had to stop watching...

It was so awful.

I had high hopes for it, being a big MST3K fan. And I am fond of the old TV show Quark. Hell, I even liked Homeboys in Outer Space.

But this, I had to turn off. It's not just not funny, it's painfully unfunny. It tries to be quirky, but it comes off as stupid. I honestly thought Wings was the worst comedy I had seen,

Big disappointment given the creator.

On the contrary, it's the best sci-fi comedy since Galaxy Quest!

reply

It's corny but I like it. "awful" is a little harsh. The cast is good. Some jokes are overly cheesy. But I like it. Dave Franco's cameo was fantastic.

I guess everyone has different tastes. I'm only half way through but I've really been loving it.

In the kingdom of the blind, you're the village idiot.

reply

I agree. I've got a sneaking suspicion that every guy who watches this gets suckered into it because the undeniably fetching Milana Vayntrub is always pictured in the link. I have yet to laugh once, and am unable to make it through an entire episode.

reply

I certainly only watched it initially because of Milana, but now that I've finished the show I really loved it.

reply

Speak for yourself. I'm checking it out because of Joel and Trace.

reply

I checked it out because of Paul Feig (Freaks & Geeks, Bridesmaids), and was delighted to find Joel and his robot friend Crow ... I mean, A.R.T. ... on board. If you're a Joel fan you probably already know about his appearances on a couple of episodes of Freaks & Geeks, but in case you haven't seen them, the show is available on Netflix now.

Connor Leslie?

reply

The first episode is rough. You might try giving it a couple more episodes. I liked it quite a bit by episode 3 or 4.

reply

Since you got a lot of replies from people who disagreed, just going to say I'm completely with you on this.
