Is the movie like As Above, So Below?

I loved As Above, So Below! For me was one the best horror pictures of the decade, I enjoyed the dark and scary Indiana Jones vibe.
I hope Jeruzalem is good too :)

keep your expectations low and you might be surprised. the never ending crying/whimpering from the lead actress will ruin any potential enjoyment you could get out of this film.

Not bothering with found footage.

I am a gore watching freak!!!

If it don't have it, it isn't worth the watch.

Then why do you even comment here?? *beep*

I really loved AASB as well.

this film definitely does NOT meet the same standard. it has many script problems, stupid and annoying characters, and few scares.

AASB - 8/10
Jeruzalem - 4/10

reply

AASB is one of the most underrated horror movies! 😕

reply

I would rate this as 6/10 while I gave 8/10 to As Below So Below. It's quite similar in story telling and general feeling.

AASB was a much better FF, one the better FF overall in recent years.
This one had some good qualities, like a more believable reason to continually see the story through the protag's lens, and backstory of demons escaping the gates of Hell was interesting, but poor characterization and just utter silliness and predictability towards the end brought the whole thing down.

I was kinda interested in Jeruzalem but based on this thread if it's worse than As Above So Below then it's a guaranteed stinker. As Above was atrocious in every conceivable way.

reply

I loved as Above so Below it was very entertaining. One of the best found footage, if not the best in the recent years... Well, Jeruzalem has a very similar vibe but, not that good as As above so below, but for me comes close though, there were several problems with As above so below as well, so definitely give this one a try.

reply

this one's like a very cheap and not well made version of As Above So Below.

The only thing both films have in common is the first person perspective. Other than that stick with 'As Above, So Below', it's far superior in every sense, this film is awful in every sense other than the setting.

Nothing is Black and White. Even Black and White are only extreme shades of Grey.
