The film 2016 needed, simply incredible

Hands down the best film of the year so far for me in what has been a very poor year on the whole. This completely blew me away though, my God. Ford's direction is sublime for starters, so much life oozes out of this film and the scenery looks incredible. It really benefits a fascinating story, taking a typical revenge tale but adding more meaning with the addition of another layer of storytelling. And the performances, oh my god this is some of the best work i have seen from such a cast. The highlight though for me was Michael Shannon, I really hope we see an oscar nomination for supporting actor and of course for Mr. Gyllenhaal who plays two roles perfectly. I hope this gets out there, this could be a classic in the future. I would dare say it could be this century's Fight Club.
