What type of film are we gonna get here?

Huge fan of Olivia from Bates Motel mainly but also other stuff (looking forward to "Me and Earl And The Dying Girl")....These movies usually have a "hard to watch" type of vibe. A descent into madness and desperation? Drugs and sex abuse? Using the harsh world around us to create something beautiful? Maybe the easier answer is a bit of all of the above.

Anyway, if this is on anywhere near the level of "Gardens of the Night" or "Mysterious Skin" I'd be very interested, even though if they are that hard to watch I might only give it one or two viewings. I can't imagine it being as harsh as either of those films but we'll see.

The film was produced by Borderline Films, so going off their previous work, I'd say this will be pretty dark.

Saw it at TIFF today. Its bleak to say the least

The acting was amazing and i guess i would compare it to winters bone. Just cause it's a young female that just keeps crap getting piled on her

It will be months before I see this movie in Europe(maybe a year)huge w.roberts fan.
