Was the hippo scene...

one of the funniest scenes in a movie ever! 😁

It was ridiculous, and the cgi was horrible, but the movie got my attention back for two minutes.

A decent movie, much better than expected.

But the hippo... the hippo.... whyyy? That was sooo bad. *cry*

Did you guys notice, after the hippo rammed the car , then when they got the the mom and daughter part, there was no damage on the car whatsoever? lol i thought that was funny.

Yes. The repairs were probably done by the same guy who in record time repaired a helicopter for 10,000, welding and all, while Los Angeles is going down around him. He probably flew the helicopter over, did body work on the car, and then took off in the chopper.

i just posted a review entirely revolving around this scene it is my new favorite scene in history. the hippo.

It was hilariously bad. I choked on my drink.

To be fair, the hippos were actually animated pretty well. But they didn't fit in the backdrop (they were floating) or even the storyline. One of those moments where you suspect the writer wanted to add a big "this event is such a disaster, animals intuitively flee the scene!"... and then there wasn't any actual budget for the Big Scene :')

What makes it better (or worse) is the giraffe right after, which was taken from somebody's Kenya safari home movie (including the heat, the savannah grass, and just about everything else that obviously wasn't in the park where they were).

But I really loved that baby hippo :D
