Impastor and Jim Gaffigan show are Awesome

I never even knew TV Land existed until last month when I was house sitting for my sister. I was working and using their dish network (which I've never used) and saw some old shows I liked and put them on, then saw some previews of Jim Gaffigan, who I like as a comedian. And then saw some Impastor previews, which as a Christian I thought looked pretty pathetic.

Gave both shows a chance and wow, it's a bummer they are on a network that very few people know about. I absolutely love them. In a summer of almost nothing, they are two shows I DVR each week and can't wait to watch. Either I hope TV Land becomes a bigger network or these shows get picked up on some of the higher end networks. I think they would both work in the mainstream.

If I never house sat for my sister, I never would have known these two shows even existed. Can't wait for more.

It is an interesting show in a quirky way and I don't think they are going for irreverent rather than anti-Christian humor as some claim. I am actually starting to like Alden Schmidt, at first I thought he was going to be some stereotype of a harsh Christian but that is just a facade. He is really just a lonely man and is actually quite naive and trusting underneath it all.

I hope they don't have him patronize the woman once he finds out she is a prostitute, they should have their characters keep some boundaries otherwise shows like this can get chaotic. Part of his charm is that he is a straight arrow, even if you are going for irreverent humor some boundaries should be respected.

I gave up on Gaffigan after episode 3. This show on the other hand, I watch faithfully. It's hilarious.

Still my two favorite shows of the summer. I can do without the pastor in the Jim Gaffigan show. I just don't like the character. But otherwise, both very fun to watch. Impastor is awesome.

I didn't feel Jim Gaffigan caught my interest but Impastor is watchable.

Yea I thought before watching either of them that Jim Gaffigan was going to be funnier just because you know it was going to be a lot of food jokes which is why Jim relates to so many people.. But definitely Impastor is the funnier show and you just want to watch it and see what happens next.. I still watch Jim Gaffigan show because it has it's funny moments like the whole Macaulay Culkin thing in a few episodes lol..

Also Michael Rosenbaum is killing it,, he is just a really funny comedy actor.. I was a huge fan of his from the first few seasons of Smallville way back in 2001 - 2004 & he stole that show.. And now come to find out he is hella good as a comedy actor too..
