Stupid Campaign to Cancel Show

There are groups purporting to be "Christian" who have been asking their members to boycott Impastor's sponsors and to contact TV Land demanding the show be canceled. They say the show mocks Christians and Christianity. Shame on them. The show's Christian characters are positively portrayed as honest, kind and trusting, wanting to do what is right, quite unlike these "Christian" leaders who made up this fraudulent cause.

I feel the same way about it. When Alexa bought Dora's ponchos and used them as tablecloths, they could have taken the obvious route and made her mean and thoughtless. I thought it was very surprising and refreshing that she ended up wearing the poncho. Russell broke up with Pastor Buddy when he didn't meet his values of being monogamous. What they should do is hold the writers' feet to the fire and challenge them to write material that keeps the characters true to their values despite how immoral Buddy may behave. It's too easy to take stabs at Christianity without showing both sides of its people.

I am a Christian and I love Impastor. They have no legitimate case against it. It's just a lighthearted fun comedy.

It's been cancelled which is what they want but what's hilarious to be is that they are taking full credit for it like they always do when a show they want canned is cancelled as if ratings had nothing to do with it. Notice how they always continuously go after the lower rated shows they don't like and the higher rated ones they don't like they just stop talking about. Hence they haven't mentioned cancelling Pretty Little Liars and How to Get Away with Murder or even Younger since their first seasons, and they used to talk about Modern Family as well but since they know those shows weren't going to be cancelled they just left them alone.
