Isn't this a rip-off of "Our Brand Is Crisis"

OBIC isn't very good. There's nothing really interesting about the plot and it has an uneven tone. It's quite slow and boring. Miss Sloane is smarter and far more engaging. A twisty, well-paced plot. And the main character is more exciting to watch, with much more happening within her. I'd say OBIC is a unfunny dramedy and Miss Sloane is a dramatic thriller in the vein of Michael Clayton, The Insider or The Usual Suspect, set against the backdrop of corrupt DC politicians and lobbyist, propped up by a topical issue of debate that makes the conflict that much more polarizing and compelling.
