Houdini holier then thou attitude

Like the show and most stories they cover but as the show went on every week it seemed we had houdini calling someone racist or bigot it got old

Blaming a race of people for a crime without proof makes you a bigot. The guy was a jackass and I cheered when he called him out. Its already been established Houdini doesn't tolerate racists.

I think the problem that JamesPetenBrink is having is that the writers put the jackass in the episode for the sole purpose of Houdini calling him out. I presume James feels that Houdini's hatred for bigots has been established and does not need a scene every week that demonstrates this.

I personally have not noticed but that does not mean that it is not happening. Hopefully I described James' thought correctly.

You do realize in the 1900 every aspect of women and minority live. Was controlled by bigoted ideas. The show calls out the obvious cases. You say it is boring. Be glad you or your parents did not have to deal with it every.

I am aware of the situation of the 1900's that the show takes place in. Like I said in my previous post, I did not see it as much as the OP but I am also aware that this is a drama and not a documentary. As a drama an establishment of Houdini's attitude towards bigots can be established but doing it but there could be a better use of the show's limited time than adding a scene to show it in episodes once that characteristic has been established.

It bigoted positions are shown because every conversation had bigoted angle. Why it was not viewed as a negative position. If the show a female being opposed in everything she. Who would believe it. It would be like making her a detective.
They want us to remember. The toughest part of her job is not the case. It is her gender. They take a lot of liberties in involving her in case, haVing her do interviews. Do you really think men would let her accuse them of murder.

The settings were magnificent in every scene in every episode.

The costumes were the same.

The actors were entertaining and a joy to watch.

I don't watch that much tv but this series was very well done.

I will miss it.
