this movie reminds me of

The Ugly Truth with Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.

But with better leads (acting and looks) and no cringe-worthy scenes.

The acting and script were quite good, but something about it made it a real snooze-fest-- tiresome listening to people carp at each other non-stop when they barely knew each other, and the turn-around in their feelings came with hardly any warning, but was, nevertheless, very predictable.

Owlnut73, I was just thinking this.

Or the book "7 Days and 7 Nights." Two talk radio advice hosts--one "women's issues" feminist, one "bro" shock jock--are in constant competition, and their cross-show digs at each other keep everyone listening.

Then their radio station decides to put them in a "Big Brother" style situation in an apartment for a week, as their listeners donate money to determine the most popular one (budget cuts mean the station can only keep one of them). So they're forced to spend time together.

I just came across this movie, saw the plot summary on the TV program guide, and came here to see if it was an adaptation of the book.

Live on the Air is by far my favorite movie. Have watched it over 120 times. Great writing and acting from Alison Sweeney and Jonathan Scare. Perfect match. Wish they would make a series out of it.
