First Fight Scene: Machine gun arrows

What in the fuck, i understand he is using a tri pod mounted arrow mechanism but really since when do arrows blow away chunks of rock, judging buy the size of arrows he shooting this is so fucking unrealistic, this fucking guy is like a MGunner from WW2 just wrecking people? maybe that's kinda what they were going for but get real tiny arrows shot that fucking fast do not go through rock walls. sure maybe some big arrows with some unknown type of steel from that age would do it but I had to stop the movie, create an account and find out what other people think about this scene

Van Helsing has a hand held machine gun arrow machine, or whatever. The science doesn't make any sense really.

So I am just watching this now and I caught that part, and them running around the inside of buildings holding drawn bows like they are handguns really told me this is a off-the-wall version of Robin Hood. It was time to throw any ideas of historical accuracy and just make some popcorn.

I didn't mind the unrealistic action--it was at least creative--but the story sucked and the movie just didn't work. I rarely turn movies off in the middle but I got about 2/3 of the way through and just couldn't take it anymore.

And how the hell did the soldiers of the 3rd Crusade get to Arabia anyhow?
What, liberating Jerusalem wasn't sexy enough for the writers?

The whole scene is shot like a modern war movie. It's bizarre to say the least. So far this movie is really living down to my expectations from the trailer.

Honestly it was really weird. It’s like the director and writers really wanted to write a modern day Robin Hood but were forced to do the standard Robin Hood time period setting.

I guess maybe they were trying to send a message and connect it to modern day war? I dunno

I didn’t mind the movie as but of mindless fun but was Defs some odd choices made.

This dude created an account just to ask this one question and then disappeared forevermore.

reply

He really needed to get this off his chest.

I didn't see any rocks getting blown away. The buildings look like adobe, which is basically hardened dirt/clay.
It is still a stupid scene, and I don't see any Englishmen with swords, only bows, which is beyond inane.
