Because it wasn't because of purely religious reasons. Christianity was not only a religion: it was the cultural shared ground in Europe. Muslims were advancing, and back then, it looked like nothing could stop them. They had reached France before (luckily the were rejected), and that's not that far from England. They controlled the Mediterranean. Muslim were the biggest threat in Europe for CENTURIES.

Why you leave castle and possessions? Because you wanna protect your land. They went to war for the same reasons Niemöller wrote 'First Came' (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_they_came_...): if you do nothing, if you wait to until you stay in the last land to fall in Europe, you'll fight alone and you'll lose.

But SJW can't understand this. White males are evil oppressors!! so... how they're gonna risk their life to protect their land and families? That's not possible!! And... Muslims are good... so, let's make a movie to say that Crusades were a scam!!

Robin Hood an unapologetic SJW? Are you nuts?. That's bullshit. Robin Hood has always been some kind of 'Middle Age British liberal' (kind of) in a traditional non-modern sense of the term. He was first and foremost an Englishman. He fought for the poor, and so he fought for the King that went to Crusades to fight for England.

They take one of the most iconic figures in English folklore and bastardized it to sell SJWish propaganda. That's what lies underneath.

What the..? So knights from all over Europe went to fight in Palestine because some English sheriff paid off an Arab war lord? Ri-di-cu-lous. They went because the Arabs were quickly becoming a real threat to Europe.

Reichwinger is kind of funny. You need to read a book on The Crusades.

Whoever wrote that review needs to read a first-year college textbook on the Crusades.
