You Know Why I Like This Show?

(1) Funny (I admit, at a rudimentary level), and fun. The writers know they're writing CW crap, and they're having fun with it.

(2) Similar to # 1, but different from it: it doesn't take itself seriously. It seems to me that all the other CW DC shows think they are at some level serious. Arrow and Flash have DANGEROUS antagonists. I only watch Superbarf for crossover arcs, but it seems that her bads are supposed to be SERIOUS, too. LOT knows that it's a crap show, is okay with being a crap show, and has actual fun with it. Ergo, this show is fun, while the other CW DC shows are increasingly pathetic.

To quote Thulsa Doom, "Such a waste."

My one exception is the guy who plays Jax, who is boring, weak and a waste. To anticipate haters, has nothing to do with his ethnic heritage. It has to do with him being a nonentity personality. An actor (Victor Garber) who is 54 years older than he sweeps him off the screen.

This is the best thing about the show IMO.The chemistry between the cast has really improved because their having more fun and not taking it too seriously.

He's very generic and has little to no chemistry with the rest of the cast.

Well. Mr Garber has been an actor since the 70's. He sweeps almost everyone of the screen.

I could not agree more. It is hard to find a substitute for experience. His death on the EarthX crisis, although predictable, was moving, and wrangled the BEST performances that Jax has EVER turned in. It showed how the power of respect and connection transforms us. Wonderful.
