She lost Snart, who she tried to stop from sacrificing himself for the team, and her sister, who Rip refused to go back and save. I'd hardly call that getting everything she wants. Sarah has been though many losses & defeats since her introduction on Arrow, her tough exterior comes from hiding her feelings and trying not to let her guard down. She's a mess inside, just like Oliver.
I wasn't a fan of the character to begin with, but the actress and character have grown a lot since her first appearance.
