Interesting Prospect About Let the Right One In

Let the Right One In, the TNT series is written and produced by Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis, and takes place in Vermont instead of Sweden. Oskar’s name has also once again been changed, this time to Henry, and he’s been aged-up to 16.
Eli will still be Eli though, and appears to be aged-up as well with 19-year-old Norwegian actress/model Kristine Froseth in the role. But interestingly, Jeff has also cast a 12 year old version of Eli played by Dakota Guppy.
And since he made a creative decision to make the 2 leads older it's a little odd to have another version closer to the original. Although, we never saw Eli's/Abby's backstory or how she was turned in either of the films so maybe that's something he plans to explore in the series.

I honestly think that it will be a flashback as to who she was before. Obviously she cannot age once becoming a vampire. I am a bit still despondent over the age thing. The age up was on the back burner for Hammer as well. They proposed that Matt Reeves bump the age up, since 2010 was still the Twilight franchise hot spot. Matt refuted and would not do Let Me In and said it would ruin the story. I think that the problem with the age up is that you have a higher volume of sexual tension which in turn takes from the irony of the relationship. When you are 12 it is not as much on the radar of concern as say 16. IE 16 and pregnant is less shocking than 12 and pregnant. So with a 12 yr old and sex isnt as much on the radar and killing is? That is irony. You are not old enough to make life but are somehow to take life.
