Curious which title this adaptation will follow:
1) Novel -- Eli turns out to be a boy;
2) Swedish movie version -- Eli is implied to be a boy (states three(?) times "I'm not a girl" and castration scar glimpse in shower scene);
3) American movie version -- Abby is a girl

Anyone know?

If they wanted a woman to play a boy, they might have opted for a character actress, and not Kristine Frøseth (Eli) which is known as a model. So that points at a 3).
