She has some Scandinavian roots, I believe? Maybe they'll incorporate it into the character's back-story, that would be a nice touch.

They are eating the guests, sir.

and soon begins a strange friendship with Henry, an equally lonely 16-year-old boy who has no idea what kind of creature he’s dealing with.

She is 19 which means this is not pre adolescent. Forget it Im out.!!!!!
I was a super fan of LTROI and LMI, this screams tween fans and trying to bring in another audience.

You never know. I agree it's can't really have the same vibe as the movies did because of the age change, but maybe they can come up with something different that will work for everyone.

That's exactly how I feel, I was really looking forward to this series until I found out they upped the age of the characters by 5 years

I'll bet it ends up being less like LtROI/LMI & more like Twilight

Kristine Frøseth is a Norwegian model/actress. She is born in Summit, New Jersey, so she might hold both Norwegian and US citizenships, unless she lost the US by voting at the Norwegian local elections last year (at least it used to work that way).

She turned 20 three weeks ago, 21 September.

Norway doesn't allow dual citizenship.
For countries that automatically confer it when a child is born in that country (e.g. the US), if the child's parents are Norwegian citizens, once the child is 18 they have to renounce the non-Norwegian citizenship (of the country in which they were born) or they lose their Norwegian citizenship, the fact that she voted in Norwegian elections makes me think she must've renounced the US citizenship

Yes, in many cases Norway do. In this case she would have to make a choice when turning 18, as you say, but these things take time and is also pressed upon actions, like voting at an election. Because of her young age, she has had only two possibilities to vote, one in Norway and one in US, and I don't know her choice.
