Discrepancies.
If this is happening over a couple of months Pocket would probably not have had time to go to America for a while and back. If this is a prequel to' Oliver Twist' Bumble had yet to marry Mrs Corney - they marry in the course of the book - and given that Lady Dedlock and Miss Havisham are young women, in the same time scheme, Little Nell, Oliver Twist and the Cratchit children would not yet be born. Again Satis House is in Kent, not London, and if Tony Jordan thought he was being clever in introducing Fanny Biggetywitch, a non-Dickensian character with nothing to do in the series he might at least have had her engaged to a Mr Harris, since in 'Martin Chuzzlewit' Sarah Gamp makes lots of references to her friend Mrs Harris. All in all there seems to be a lot of padding in what is merely a brace of prequels to 'Bleak House' and 'Great Expectations'.
