I looked away, I admit it...

I'm a hardened movie fan and I've seen a lot of horror and gore crap in my life.
Started with Childs Play when I was 9 (bad idea, lol), watched Hellraiser as well and Braindead when I was 13. After Braindead nothing scared me anymore.
Mostly the scenes that are hard to watch are the ones containing psychological torture. Visually I can stand a lot, but some things I'll never get de-sensitized to.

Anything related to the eyes (needle in eye, eyeball plopping out with a spoon etc) is gonna make me hide under the blanket. LOL!

But this movie showed me something I hadn't seen before.

I'm of course talking about the penis splitting cutting scene.
*beep* Don't do that!!! I thought she was just gonna bite it off.
"Just the top". But no, she goes all Ichi the Killer on his Willy.

Did you watch that scene without looking away from your screen?
And what did you think of it? Also mention if you are a male or female.
I'm male. -_-

I thought that scene was awesome in a way. The first time I saw it I was surprised. "Holy -bleep- they actually showed her with the guy's (obviously fake) willy in her mouth? Wow."

Not only did I not look away, I actually went back to confirm what I thought I saw. "Did she? [rewinds] Yep. Ouch."

Bear in mind, the character had been gang-raped so it's amazing that she'd actually be able to face a willy, let alone destroy one like that.

I'm male.

I was just impressed they didn't take the expected route with the scene. With the previous installment, and it also occurring during Last House on the Left, I just expected it to be a homage. Nice surprise lol

"Well...I've seen enough. Come on Charlie, we're going home."

I too am a hardened lifelong horror fan. I can watch pimple popping for hours. Yes, I looked away! And squeezed my legs together even though I'm female.

I'm male and didn't bat an eyelash.

most guys have had this done to them. me included about 15 years ago..yes it's bad, but you eventually get over it.

28 Days Later is one of my fave horror movies of all time, but I've never been able to watch the eye-gouging scene. I can barely listen to the guy's screams. Same with the sequel. 

Ooh, if you ever watch Game of Thrones, you're definitely going to want to avoid the "Red Viper versus the Mountain" episode. ;)

Yeah, I'm not a fan of trauma to the eyeballs neither. 28 Weeks Later is what did me in. She's strapped down to the gurney, the cowardly schmuck who left her for dead thinks he still has the right to steal a kiss from her, he catches her Rage virus, he berserks out on her face while she's helpless, her feet are kicking and thrashing from all the panic and suffering she's enduring at the other end...it gets ugly.

"Eye Scream" is a TV Trope for a good reason, I guess.

What about the one in 28 Days Later? I can't watch or listen to either of those scenes without cringing.

IMHO, the one in 28 Days was weaksauce compared to the one in 28 Weeks. It was too quick; angry one moment, up to his thumbs in that rapist dude's eye sockets a second later. 28 Weeks draws it out, gives us time to feel what's going on. Plus, there's the morality element; the gougee in 28 Days kind of deserved it (so yay), whereas the gougee in 28 Weeks certainly didn't.

 It was definitely more personal and brutal in 28 Weeks. The score was perfect for it.

My reaction was quite the opposite: I couldn't look away from it! "Holy Zeus, is that his pecker? That's his pecker! Ooh! Teeth! Teeth! Holy damn, she did not just do that! Ooh, here comes the knife WHOA!!! That definitely hurt! Oh, man! He must be bleeding like a pig stuck on a wrought iron fence! Ooh! He is! He's bleeding like a stuck pig! Props to the Props Crew!"

Granted, I was instinctively cupping my hand protectively over my own naughty bits while I was watching that part, but still, I watched it. And I even cheered her on a bit. That guy was a massive douche.

I'm male, of course. ;)
