Suspension of disbelief doesn't go this far.

This is a truly awful film. The whole "earth-killing asteroid" has been done a few times, presenting some just-about-plausible solutions to the problem.

This film requires an complete suspension of disbelief. Not just the ending bit, but the whole sorry chain of events that lead up to the heroes saving the day.

The script is weak. The acting is weak. The special effects are weak. Please, for the sake of your own self-respect, do not waste 90+ minutes of your life on this bilge.

I actually liked it a lot. For a TV movie I thought it was well done. I also thought the acting was good. If you watch it ... Enjoy!

Yeah, for real, it was garbage.

The FBI wouldn't keep chasing after a suspect when getting barraged by tons of Meteorites shooting down like rocket projectiles at random places whisking above their heads.

The director at the NASA wannabe facility wouldn't be that stupid.

This whole experience made me feel stupid just watching it.

The main two cast members were enjoyable, the reporter was tolerable, the rest was yuck.

People can act unpredictably. But physics is physics. And the physics had me laughing so hard the end. It was funnier than your average episode of Scorpion.

What amused me was the threats to charge our main hero and his brother with treason. Treason is a very specific charge with a very specific list of requirements for someone to be charged.

Article three section three says:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Other things can't be added as the text says "only." Neither of them waged war or aided any enemy of the US. Now, there are a host of things they could find to charge them, but treason isn't one of them.
