This looks so bad...

In an age where we have huge resources, giant budgets, and a plethora of known actors who in some cases really own the parts they are playing...we get...this? It might work, buuuut..... probably wont.

In an age where readily available technology makes the ability to make a movie accessible to pretty much anyone, money-grabs like this should be expected. Shunned, but still expected. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but Thor is a Marvel character, but since he's based on actual Norse lore, can they (Marvel) claim full ownership rights to his likeness? It would be like Wal-Mart taking 'ownership' of Christmas simply because...they're Wal-Mart.

I agree 100%. And that is honestly what this looks like, a money-grab. It could be a great film, even with limited resources. A perfect example, IMO, is "The Man From Earth". Not a whole lot spent, no real effects, not a lot of big names. well known (Katt, Todd, Billingsly, etc)but not A list anymore (if ever). But it was absolutely captivating! If it doesn't dazzle the eyes, it should dazzle the mind.
I just don't see this one bringing anything to the table for the viewer. I'll watch it, or at least try to, before I give it a thumbs down or a bad rating. But for me it just doesn't grab the attention on any level.
