I am addicted to this show!! I love the character Ernestine. I love how she controls the entire plantation. All of the house slaves follow everything she says even the masters son, T.R. How she got him to lie about the seal. Though it was sad how T.R. turned when Samuel tried to run away.

The scene with Ernestine and Tom Macon in the wine cellar......hot! So cool to see how she controlled him.

I love how quiet the head slave man (Herman?) is when he does what he does, even with Tom Macon on the final episode.

The August Pullman character is unstoppable.

Can't stand the Reverend Willowset character. Ernestine should have warned Tom about him. Tom should have stood up to him and told him to leave.

I love the show! I mean I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this show!!! I was actually excited that it was on "regular" cable and not premium. They could probably show it more graphically etc if it were on those channels but honestly it's hard to watch at some scenes as it is, one scene (Where RosaLee saves her brother from a whipping), got to me more than just about every other scene so it still makes it point on "regular" cable. Plus this way it can be reached by a broader audience besides just those who have higher end channels.

I quite liked it. I had hoped there would be more stuff to push the limits but overall I am pleased.
