Brilliant Season 1 Finale

What a great cast and the modern music just makes this such a watchable series. I want more can't wait for season 2.
I hope in season 2 we see the reality and process of becoming free and more about the actual underground you know all the ins and outs. There is already alot of tv shows and movies about living on the plantations etc, but I would really enjoy stories about the steps taken to live a free life as I'm sure that would of been another struggle altogether. Whatever way the stories go Underground is very watchable I will miss it until next year!

I love this show so much I am just going to have to put the season on repeat and keep watching it over and over till season 2 is out! I also agree that the music helps make the show something special and unique. I've seen a LOT of criticism of the soundtrack on these boards but personally I approve of the music!

Totally agree the music is tastefully chosen and appropriate! I just may rewatch season I over again too! One thing I did notice I know the writers have taken alot of liberty when it comes to historical accuracy but did people in the South really just walk into peoples houses and dictate how things should be for example the preacher and chris Meloni's character noticing the floor boards etc and the guy who felt intitled to force himself on elizabeth? Seems alot of that was going on! What a terrible time it must of been in those days!

I agree, I think in order to be happy you had to be rich, white and conscious free. Very sad! As far as the accuracy of freedom to move about someone's house and etc I took it the same way I would when you see people/shows etc set in the "country" and they are overly friendly/nosy and the host is often too "polite" to put them in their place. Kyle was just a creep who saw this as his chance to finally sleep with the woman he had been in love with for years who left him for someone else. All that jealousy built up over the years watching her with a guy who he hated for having her (and I assume who she left him for) made it easy in his mind to use her secret as leverage to rape her and get away with it.

A wonderful story and a great cast. I love the show. I think the season finale was brilliant. I am of the opinion, however, that the music is not always appropriate and often too loud. The music, in some spots, over-shadows the dialogue. The use of close-caption often solves the problem, but since I don't have hearing loss, I shouldn't have to use it.

I loved it as well. I have to admit I didn't really get into the show until we were half way through so I was disappointed that it was ending. I think it sucks that we have to wait until next year though
