Awww... Rosalee and Noah are so precious together!

I've always thought that they had an epic, ultra-romantic chemistry from their first scene together. The writers built the tension and had the love grow very nicely.

I watch the other WGNA shows and really adore them... but, I always wonder how they could fail so hard with their main pairings (G'winn/Asa and Mary/John are the most boring, cliched parts of Outsiders and Salem). But, Underground got it right!

I though Mary and John practically had the best. Especially the scene in season 2 finale of Salem when Mary stumbled out in the forest to help John by giving her own life

I KNOW i am in the minority .. But I am BLAH on their chemistry.  I like Jurnee but I have to admit I am kinda brunt out on Light Skin women being placed on a higher pedestal than Darker women. And I am a light skin woman.

I want to see someone like Kee Kee Palmer and Tika Sumpter and my Lady Crush, Lupita Nyong'o to be the stand out star and the coveted one. NO shade really. Just want to showcase the fact that our beauty comes in darker shades as well. IJS..

I agree with you ! Hollywood does this all the time ! They find the darkest man to go out of his way to help save the lightest woman he can find !

Yup. I like the show and all and I don't have a problem with the characters, but I agree.

Let them work it out; I'm fine with seeing women who look like me on tv.

However, I do agree about Noah and Rosalee being blah; I'm not into them as a couple. But, then I'm not here for "romances" on a show like this, I just want to see the runaway stories play out.

I feel you about the Cape thing. But I dont think it is just insecure issues that go on. EVERY women of just about every race has issues of being insecure. My issue is the fact that Women's Beauty in American Media is based on how light skin you are or how lose curly your hair. Weather we agree on the security levels of African American women. We both have to admit that the Media plays a role in JUST ABOUT EVERY girls lives and development as a human and a woman.

Fat white women are represented in the media.
Aged white women are as well.
But far too often women like Lupita Nyong'o are covered up and voiced over in the media. I get that WE NEED TO TAKE CHARGE OF OUR OWN BEAUTY. But there goes that Turn the other cheek mentality. Why do we have to be go the extra mile when other people have roads laid out for them

On a side note I have to LOL when i see commercials and movies where you have an African American mom with her kids and them kids are mixed but mom and dad are clearly AFRICAN AMERICAN with no mixed parentage. TO ME that says that the media has a problem with skin color and African beauty. NOT darkskin African American women.

NO shade just saying WHY DO WE HAVE TO BE BIGGER?

I always feel this way and I was expecting to think this before the premiere, but the writers did it well and it barely aggravated me. I do want some new female cast with some stunin melanin next season though, I like your ideas a lot or my Lady Crush, Mouna Traore!

Yes she is a STUNNING beauty!! I am just kinda burnt out on the beauty of a Dark Skin African American woman being like a Purple Unicorn. 

I its just done to death for me. I have to say when I see a sexy African American male Character on tv and movies I get excited when I see that he is with a Dark Skin sistah. LOL I have to say i jumped up and down when i saw Miami Vice(remake) and they had Naomie Harris as Tubbs woman. You could have blown me over with a feather!

Far too often they portray Darker skin women as the BFF who is not glamorous AT ALL!

I dont watch HTGAWM because most prime time dramas bore me. But I was so exited to see Viola Davis glamed up. I dont like the wigs and would love to have seen her glam without them BUT I was excited to see that she was on Fleek. LOL

I feel like I'm her cheerleader or some *beep* I just really want her to get attention and be famous yesterday. Ok I love Jurnee Smollett-Bell everything I've seen her in she's with a dark skinnedd man (Nate Parker, Michael B Jordan and now Aldis Hodge) though. At this point I pay extra recognition and love to just about anything with a woman of color who's darker than her male counterpart I swear
Lol Ok, I can't believe you just brought up that movie, I most likely watched it too young and I was more hyped than anybody else I knew -- yeah I liked it a lot. And they had real good chemistry. I almost watched that movie SouthPaw for Naomie Harris but no not gonna do that to myself. I am pretty excited for Collateral Beauty though (which I know near nothing about)!
Yeah I watch HTGAWM sometimes only b/c it is boring sometimes, depending on which characters are the focus of the episode. I fell in love with Aja NaomiKing on this show too. Oh and she got some awesome box braids in these flashback episodes (Viola Davis). And yes thank you for saying that! Do Hollywood bosses not think we notice the differences in wardrobe and make-up, and is it just me or do they *beep* up the lighting
