Amirah, the actress that plays Ernestine, looks like...

She looks a lot like Sanaa Lathan.

I woke up this way...

And I like them both. Although, I have to say that I didn't know who Amirah Vann was until her role in this show, but man is she incredible! Her acting and her voice... she's easily one of the top performers on Underground.

I hadn't seen her in any movie or tv shows but I have seen her in a commercial/PSA. It's a commercial about women and heart disease.

I thought I was the only one who noticed her voice! Its so different...deep, melodic, sultry.

Amirah Vann is awesome. I also hope her career takes off.

I hope her career takes off. She has potential to be a big star. I'm a big fan and I want to see more of her doing big roles. She can easily play a lead character. Her acting is superb!

Me too! I think I posted this before but - this is my first time seeing her in anything. According to her IMDB she was in a movie I didn't see with Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton. (I don't know if she had a real supporting part or what.) But this woman is an amazing actress...what the hell is Hollywood doing that they missed out on her?

I know she is so underrated. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. Oh cool I didn't know that, I'll have to check it out.

I have a feeling she does mostly theater and/or Broadway. That could explain her acting skills and why we rarely saw her anywhere.
