I agree.

To me this brought back feelings of Rubicon from AMC. Something some people will say is so brilliant, and intricate, but it's really just slow drivel.

Dreams is a unique premise, but this just put me to sleep.

No, I loved Rubicon and wished it had gotten a chance to really getting its footing.

I found FW pilot rather slow. Enough so that my attention kept getting drawn to other things and I might have missed a lot. I love Sci-Fi in general so I'll be giving a fair chance to show me where it is going and might be capable of.

At least it has already separated itself from Sense8 which it would at best be capable of being a pale shadow of.

Agreed. It is excessively drab and slow-paced. I get that they're trying to go for suspenseful, mysterious, and awe-inspiring but they are failing hard.

They wanted the daunting darkness of 'Humans' but really missed the mark. Had to stop watching this emotionless bore-fest less than half way through.

That rug really tied the room together.

I don't know. I couldn't get through the first ep of Falling water. But I thought the first two episodes of Timeless were excellent.

Yeah, that nails it. Timeless is trash full of plot holes, and bonkers story telling about time travel, and ash is boring after first season of their nonsense. Give me a break, your taste is horrible if you enjoy brainfarts like these.

They should have went hard on the sci-fi angle and had them do some deep 'dream walking', manipulating other people as they wish.

I'm watching it now. Opening with a birth scene is a bad sign. It's gimmicky, gratuitous. The only one I find at all interesting so far is the guy who seems to be some sort of fixer. His scenes really light up and offer some genuine intrigue. The rest is lackluster, heavy-handed, crude.

It isn't inviting sympathy for the characters, it's trying to create it. I don't wanna see the strings when I'm being manipulated.

ETA: Second episode better, for me. Think I'll give it a chance.

Hi Helen! i was all ready to write this show off for good (i'm in the middle of ep.1 and i find it brutally boring) but the fact you said the 2nd ep is better convinced me to give it a bit more time. :)

Please let me know what you think! I sort of watched it out of inertia, and was surprised to begin liking some other characters in addition to the one guy, and feel a little invested. Still on the fence, but willing to give Ep 3 a go.

Helen, i finished up ep 2 and i'm still in the same boat. i desperately want to like this show (i like the cast, the cinematography, etc) but these 2 eps did nothing to keep me interested. oh well. :)

i'm trying to get through the pilot ep right now and it's torturous. all the elements of a good show are there (cast, cinematography, mystery, etc) but this first ep is brutally slow and not all that interesting. i'm all for very slow burn shows but this is just TOOOOOOO slow.
