Solid Lead Performance, But...

Amateurish and overacted by most of the cast, but the lead actress was in fact quite good. There's the core of a decent story, but the script and direction were pretty ham-fisted. The story took shortcuts where some expansion would have been welcome (the nature of the abuse) and yet pounded home other points which would have benefited from some nuance (the girl's mother and son). If this were a student film and a first draft, i'd say there was some potential in it. As a finished offering, it's full of problems.
