Beowulf was too fat

Among many other failings too numerous to list, one huge problem with this show was a hero who never did anything remotely heroic. Beowulf was a nonentity with lots of meaningless action swirling around him.

Also, in this day and age, viewers expect a high level of eye-candy on the screen. Where were the shirtless scenes to set the Internet abuzz? None, because this Beowulf was clearly too chunky to strip off. The producers should have put Big B on a treadmill until he was trimmed down to swimsuit shape.

Clearly, the producers did not have a clue even in this basic show biz department.
