Cherry-picking from the Bible

Just prior to setting a tall wooden cross afire with his buddies, a Klansman in a small Kentucky town referred to non-whites as "mud people". I expected host Kamau Bell to object in some way but Bell let the moment pass. When Kamau asked that same man (who was dressed in a shiny electric-blue robe with matching hood and capelet ["Klannie Smurph"]) what he loves about being white, the man said "God tells us not to mingle our seed with the beasts of the field". He went on to say that the KKK follows the teachings of the Lord, as doing otherwise is to sin. Bell's quick comeback was to say that the Bible also says it's a sin to eat lobster. With a straight face Bell continued by asking that frightened, simple-minded, pear-shaped, pot-bellied man all dressed in satin which of the two is the greater sin, mixing the races or eating lobster? It was a great "gotcha" moment! (Turns out the dunderhead hiding his tiny pointed head behind a pointy hood had dined at the Red Lobster just that previous night!)

The laws about food was given to Old Testament Israelites, not to Gentiles.

This guy needs to be fair and do a show with the black Isrealites.

They don't believe in interracial marriage either.

Kamau should've brought his white wife to the meeting. That Klansman would've exploded in his shiny satin, lol!

I wonder why the KKK doesn't realize that Jesus was a "mud" person ? he was Jewish! There were no Christians during his lifetime!

Followers of Jesus are Christians.

So, yes, there were Christians at the time.

Acts 11:26 (KJV)
And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

John 5:18 (KJV)
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 7:1 (KJV)
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Acts 24:5
For we have found this man a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

Jeremiah 11:9
And the Lord said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Matthew 2:23
And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.

John 18: 33- 40 (KJV)
33: Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art thou the King of the Jews?

34: Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?

35: Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done?

36: Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

37: Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

38: Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

39: But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews?

40: Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
