how does the town not know who put up the sign?
if it is not paid for by someone then was it put up in the middle of the night? if someone is paying for it then they would know who it is if it is not being paid for tear it down.
shareMaybe someone rented the space using cash and didn't give their name. It could have been put up discreetly. That street is probably only busy for an couple hours a day.
That slogan and a couple related ones have been occasionally popping up on signs (mostly unauthorized, but not always) for a while.
Sure, if someone rented it and paid cash, their name and money still would be needed for the books, no? Maybe the IRS knows for sure ;-)
