A better plot (my opinion)

They should have had the little girl find a trap with Slimer in it. They slowest becomes friends over the course of the movie. For the bad guys, it should have been the baby stay puffed guys. They slowly figure out how to duplicate themselves and they go out of control like the movie Gremlins.
