Ain't Misbehavin'

Wasn't it peculiar that the film ended on this song -- on that sentiment?

I think it was supposed to be poignant but it didn't work for me. There just wasn't any depth to any of the characters in this film with each scene being more like a snapshot to merely accompany the annoying narration that the audience was so bested to throughout the movie. If the scenes and characters aren't fleshed out properly then the ending is bound to fall flat...and yes, an odd choice of song for the final scene just highlights this really.

I think "Ain't Misbehavin'" fit the plot and the characters perfectly. I called the song and sentiment choices "peculiar" because I did not expect a paean to fidelity from Woody Allen.
